Standard units such as square meters, square feet, acres and hectares have fixed conversion factors. Regional land units can be different. Marla values used by housing schemes may differ from the Punjab revenue standard, and bigha can change substantially by region.
For a transaction, approved plan or legal record, use the unit definition stated by the relevant authority or document. The calculators are designed to make that assumption visible instead of silently applying one local convention everywhere.
