Accuracy and accountability

Supported factual errors should be corrected clearly and proportionately.

AR Empires accepts correction requests for editorial content such as guides, comparisons and market explainers. A useful request identifies the exact page and statement, explains the concern and includes reliable supporting evidence. Listing disputes should use the listing report process instead.

Review workflow

Four steps from request to outcome

Complex or time-sensitive claims may require additional source checks. The process focuses on accuracy, not on guaranteeing a preferred commercial outcome.

STEP 01

Submit the exact issue

Provide the page URL, the specific statement, why it appears incorrect and the source or evidence supporting the request.

STEP 02

Review the published context

The request is assessed against the wording, source date, article scope and available evidence.

STEP 03

Decide the appropriate action

The outcome may be a correction, clarification, source update, no change or removal when the content cannot be supported.

STEP 04

Update meaningful records

Material changes may include an updated date or correction note where that context is useful to readers.

Requests that normally qualify for review

  • A verifiably incorrect name, date, number, location or factual statement
  • A source that was materially misread, outdated or attributed incorrectly
  • A comparison or summary that omits a fact essential to the stated conclusion
  • A broken official source that can be replaced with the correct current source
  • A statement that should be clarified because the wording creates a materially false impression

Requests that do not automatically establish an error

  • A preference for different wording when the published statement is accurate
  • A request to remove fair criticism or an attributed opinion solely because it is unfavourable
  • A commercial demand to rank, recommend or promote a specific property, area, agent or agency
  • An unsupported claim that current data is wrong without a date, source or methodology
  • A disagreement with a clearly labelled opinion, scenario or limitation

What to include in your email

A complete request reduces ambiguity and makes the review more efficient.
